Lions quarterback Aaron Rodgers is “just happy” to be on a team with the likes of Eli Manning and Matthew Stafford.
Rodgers said Sunday that he’s “just glad” to still be part of the Lions after being cut by the San Francisco 49ers on Monday.
The Packers are 0-3 in Rodgers’ first season as a full-time starter.
“I’m just happy to still have a team,” Rodgers said.
“A lot of guys, a lot of teams, they have guys that they know that they can trust that they’re going to keep on doing what they’re doing.”
Rodgers’ two most notable misses were a pair of picks in the 2016 season opener against Detroit and the first half of the NFC Championship Game last year.
He was drafted to be the starter in 2016 and has missed four games in the past two seasons due to a neck injury.
